Calvary 5K colorful fun run taking place this Saturday

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – Downtown Panama City will be filled with colorful clothes and easter eggs this Saturday, Mar. 30.

Calvary of Panama City is hosting its 3rd annual 5K color run.

The 3.1-mile run will take place around the downtown area.

Runner will be blasted with colorful pastels.

There’s a second race for kids ten and under.

It will be a mile-long fun run and easter egg hunt.

The proceeds for both events will be used to help support the Panama City Rescue Mission.

“A sober living program where we’re going to take care of any health or mental health needs, do some job training, help them get placed in a job. And then once they are stable in a job and they are stable in sobriety, we will help them move into long-term housing,” said Panama City Rescue Mission Executive Director Ross Clemons.

The race begins at 8 a.m. on East 4th Street.

Registration includes a t-shirt that will look good in multi-colors.
