Community invited to annual kite day in Callaway

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) — The third annual ‘Callaway Kite Day’ with Bay County Sheriff’s deputies is happening this Saturday, March 30.

The sheriff’s office sponsors the free event. They provide kites for everyone to fly and there will be free snacks and drinks.

‘Kite Day’ will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the open field next to the Callaway Arts and Conference Center.

“We have all kinds of different events from movie nights to nights that our crime prevention offices and things like that, we’ve had food drives and it’s important for us to be a part of this community and it’s an honor for us to do that and we have a lot of fun doing it,” Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford said.

Sheriff Ford said Callaway city officials will also be attending on Saturday.
