Fill your basket at Mexico Beach “Eggstravaganza” this weekend

MEXICO BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) – Grab your Easter baskets and hop on over to the 3rd annual Mexico Beach “Eggstravaganza” at ‘Under the Palms Park’ on Saturday, March 30th.

The Easter egg hunt will begin right at 10 a.m. with over 6,000 eggs available full of sweet treats and toys.

Participants will be split into different age groups, three years old and under, four to seven, and seven to ten.

All the eggs, toys, and candy were donated by a local Mexico Beach business, and the owners say being visible in the community is all part of their job.

“I just feel like if you have a business in a community, it’s sort of your responsibility to be able to give back,” said Mexico Beach Sweets Owner Susan Cammack. “When the city approaches us for the different events, the egg hunt, and other things, we’re more than happy to contribute because it just is part of making this town what it is.”

This event is free and lasts until noon.

It will also include food made by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, bouncy houses, pictures with the easter bunny, and much more.
