Search warrant leads three in jail on drug-related charges

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – On Wednesday, Washington County deputies arrested three people on felony charges after a search warrant at a residence in Vernon.

Just after 7:40 p.m., the Washington County Drug Task Force said they executed the search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into the sell and distribution of illegal narcotics.

During a search of the residence, deputies and investigators discovered several illegal items including cocaine, drug paraphernalia, firearms, and ammunition, according to a news release.

Authorities said the three occupants of the home were taken into custody on felony charges. 24-year-old Jorge Luis Rosa Perez of Vernon, 21-year-old Sebastian Xavier Morris of Panama City, and 30-year-old Alesia Joelene Hall of Vernon.

Perez is facing charges of possession of cocaine with intent to sell or manufacture, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, or manufacture, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Morris faces charges of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Hall faces charges of possession of cocaine with intent to sell or manufacture, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell or manufacture, possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of paraphrenia, and child neglect.

All occupants were arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.
