Suspect in custody following convenience store robbery in Okaloosa County

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies said they have identified and located a wanted man for a convenience store armed robbery that happened on Monday night.

OCSO deputies said the incident occurred around 11:15 p.m., at the Quick Stop convenience store on Newcastle Drive.

According to a news release, the clerk reportedly told deputies the man selected some items before approaching the counter and pulling out a semi-automatic handgun. The suspect demanded the clerk put money in a bag. The suspect then left the store on foot, authorities said.

Deputies have identified the man as 37-year-old Jermaine Lee. OCSO deputies said they located him at a home on Audrey Drive in Fort Walton Beach on Thursday.

Investigators said Lee had previously served prison time for robbery but was released in July 2023.

Lee is in the Okaloosa County Jail. He is charged with armed robbery.
